Welcome to Lemondrilla 🍋🦍
So yes — this is supposed to be the “Hello world!” post. But let’s be honest: the world isn’t always that friendly. Most of the time, it just says NO and slams the door.
That’s why I built this strange, citrus-soaked corner of the internet.
What is Lemondrilla?
It started as a Hungarian word-monster: lemondás (“resignation”) smashed against a gorilla. Half lemon, half beast. A grotesque mascot for rejection, failure, and the stubborn will to keep writing anyway.
Why am I here?
Because I’m a Hungarian writer and poet trying to carve out a voice internationally. I wanted a place to share not just successes, but the whole absurd process:
- the rejections,
- the near-misses,
- the pulp and the rage.
What can you expect?
- Grotesque reflections on writing and rejection.
- Updates from my own publishing journey (yes, including the shameful pile of rejection slips).
- Shameless self-promotion, because the beast insists on it.
- Maybe a laugh, maybe a bruise, maybe both.
Lemondrilla isn’t about giving up. It’s about squeezing every bitter fruit the world throws at me, and somehow making it into words.
So welcome. Grab a lemon, dodge a gorilla, and stay tuned.
When life gives you rejection… unleash the Lemondrilla.
